About GDCE

Our history

The GDCE company was founded in 2005
by Grupo Calvo, a traditional Spanish fish canning company, produces steel metallic packages with tinned and chromed sheets for the food segment that follow the recommendations of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).

The factory

The GDCE is located on the margins of the BR-101 Highway, km 116, in the city of Itajaí, SC – Brazil, near the ports of Itajaí and Navegantes. The plant is installed on a plot of land of approximately 50,000 square meters where 600 million components are currently produced per year.

Export facilities

GDCE’s factory offers great ease of export, as it is located near the Port of Itajaí/SC. With more than 53 thousand m² of area, the Port of Itajaí is responsible for the flow of almost all production in the State, offering more than 70 equipments with capacity from 1 to 37 tons for loading and unloading of goods, all within international safety standards. This allows its products to reach countries in North America, Caribbean, Europe, Asia, Far East, Africa and other regions, with the possibility of sending 1,350,000 caps per 20m² container and 200,000 cans per 40m² container.
